The IRENA West Africa Electrification Platform is an open-access, interactive online platform that allows for an overview of electrification investment scenarios for Western African Countries.

The platform shows which mix of technologies (centralized grid-connection, different types of mini-grids or stand-alone PV) can supply electricity at the lowest cost in different scenarios. In addition to technology choice, investment costs and capacity requirements, the platform presents the Value of Storage for mini-grid electrification in relation to alternatives.
